Why Now? Because the Call Doesn’t Wait Forever

There comes a moment—sometimes it’s a whisper, other times it’s a soul-rattling roar—when we feel the pull. A subtle invitation or a loud knock to do something different. To shift. To begin. To become.
And so we ask ourselves:
“Why now?”
Sometimes that question is asked with wide eyes and a full heart—fueled by love, opportunity, and excitement.
Sometimes, it’s asked through clenched teeth, weary from loss, grief, or discontent. And other times still, it’s asked with exasperation:
“Why now—when I already feel stretched thin, uncertain, not ready?”
But the truth is, the call to change doesn’t always show up when it’s convenient. It shows up when it’s aligned. When your soul is ready—even if your schedule isn’t.
And it doesn’t always come wrapped in crisis. In fact, many times it arrives through beauty:✨ A new relationship✨ A birth✨ A creative idea that just won’t let go✨ A sense of gratitude so expansive, you can’t help but want to pay it forward.
That’s the thing about transformation—it doesn’t need trauma as a catalyst. It can arrive on the wings of possibility.
I know this intimately. For me, “why now?” came in the form of a shiny red car and the unexpected opportunity to race it. It looked fun—new—something I hadn’t tried. But with that joy came uncertainty, challenges, and the inevitable follow-up:
“Okay… what now?”
That’s the dance, isn’t it? “Why now?” followed by “What now?”
But here’s the secret: that question—“Why now?”—may be your moment.
Your moment to say yes before the magic moves on to someone else.
Your chance to answer the invitation to become who you’ve always known you could be.
Because dreams don’t disappear. They wait.
They wait behind the busyness, the fear, the excuses.
They wait behind the storylines that said you had to have it all figured out first.
They wait… until you do something wild and beautiful like trust your timing.
And when you do?
You remember.
You remember that your timing is divine, that your dreams have always been ready, and that maybe—just maybe—now is the perfect time to do the biggest thing you’ve ever done.
with reverence and deep gratitude,
