Permission GRANTED

Right now I am sitting at my desk on a Sunday morning on the most beautiful spring day with absolute quiet. Morning is usually the time I feel the most creative.

What’s incredible is that I’ve experienced greater joy, productivity, and creativity these past few months than I have in seriously a year. I am almost at a loss for words to describe what is pulsing through my veins right now.
I’ve written more, exercised more, cleaned more, basically loved more than I have in quite some time. I have journaled. I have read. I have meditated. I have been present.
Who knew that loving myself was what had been missing in my own life?
My question is? WHY? Why did I wait? What in the world made me think I needed permission to put myself first? Could this be the silver lining that exists as a result of heart issues? Was this somehow Mother Nature’s way of waking me up from sleepwalking through my own life?
Call it God, call it Divine Intervention, Mother Nature, the Universe—it doesn’t really matter the name, the idea is still the same. I have been stopped in my tracks from what I’ve been doing and how I’ve been doing things.
Could this be the wake-up call I’ve been needing to put things into perspective? To reassess priorities? To grant myself permission to follow my passion?
I think so!
Life is full of responsibilities and to-do lists. It’s become too easy to dismiss the thought of doing something for ourselves when there is so much else that needs to be done.
I would LOVE for you to join me in sharing what you’d like to give yourself permission to do. Whether decadent or practical, share one or two ideas that you’ve been keeping for that “someday.” Guess what? Someday is here. Time to say Permission Granted.
Let me see if I can help get you started with some of my ideas.
Here’s what I’ve granted myself permission to do . . .
Turn the music up LOUD and dance in my living room.
Grab some jasmine put it in a vase.
Sleep in and have coffee in bed.
Get outside. Take a walk. Appreciate the crisp air!
Hopefully, I’ve given you something to think about. I can’t wait to see what you come up with. I give you permission to do whatever sets your soul afire.
Rooted in passion,
❤️ Fast Lane Jane
